With over six years of leadership, she spearheaded the launch of Shapellx’s Orlando office, guiding a team dedicated to designing shapewear that blends comfort, style, and confidence. Beyond managing product launches and marketing campaigns, Shane represents the brand in media appearances and industry events, advocating for shapewear as a tool for empowerment rather than restriction.


Through initiatives like the INNER ARMOR™ LYCRA® FitSense™ Collection and the Shapellx Women’s Body Confidence Index, or Mist Weave, Shane is transforming how women experience shapewear, making it a source of self-expression and daily confidence. Can you share the story of how Shapellx came about? What inspired you to enter the shapewear industry?


Shane: When we founded Shapellx, we realized there was a gap in the shapewear industry — women often had to choose between looking good and feeling comfortable. Listening to the stories of real women, we saw how traditional shapewear could be restrictive, uncomfortable, or simply not fit their bodies.

That inspired us to create a brand that puts comfort and confidence first, designing shapewear that moves naturally with the body, feels breathable, and empowers women every day.


After years of research and innovation, you’re introducing the INNER ARMOR™ LYCRA® FitSense™ Collection. Can you explain what makes this technology such a game-changer in shapewear?


Shane: The first generation of INNER ARMOR™Core, redefined shapewear with its structured stitching, offering strong shaping while staying comfortable. The second generation, INNER ARMOR™ Contour, introduced a softer, moderate compression that balanced support with everyday ease. Building on the success of these earlier versions, we introduced LYCRA® FitSense™ technology to bring precise shaping to the next level. This innovation uses advanced liquid Lycra technology to deliver targeted shaping through lightweight, breathable materials, allowing women to move freely, confidently, and comfortably. Unlike traditional shapewear that relies on heavy fabrics or tight compression, this collection feels effortless, offering invisible support that adapts to every movement.


You’re also launching the Shapellx Women’s Body Confidence Index. What was the motivation behind this research, and what key insights do you think will surprise people most?


Shane: The Shapellx Women’s Body Confidence Index was inspired by our belief that confidence goes far beyond appearance — it’s about how women feel in their own skin, every day. We wanted to better understand the emotional and psychological relationship women have with shapewear and how it fits into their daily lives.


One of the most eye-opening findings was that over 80% of Shapellx users seek an extra boost of confidence when attending social events or parties, showing that shapewear isn’t just about shaping the body — it’s about empowering the mind. We also discovered that more than 60% of women consider shapewear their secret wardrobe essential, and 70% wear it to achieve a smoother, more confident look.


These insights reaffirm our mission: to design shapewear that supports women not only physically but emotionally, helping them feel comfortable, confident, and authentically themselves in every moment.


Shapewear has often been misunderstood, sometimes seen as restrictive rather than empowering. How does Shapellx redefine shapewear as a tool for confidence and self-expression?


Shane: At Shapellx, we see shapewear not as something that restricts, but as a way to support and celebrate women’s bodies. Too often, shapewear was designed to hide or alter the body, but we wanted to change that narrative and create pieces that highlight every woman’s natural form while boosting confidence.


Our approach is grounded in rigorous research and real-world testing. Over 537 days and 99 rounds of trials, we tested our garments on women of diverse body types, collecting real data to ensure the fit is accurate, comfortable, and flattering.


A standout example is our Mist Weave™ Skin Flow™ Full Coverage Bodysuit — a first-of-its-kind 4-in-1 design that combines a bra, bodysuit, underwear, and ultra-durable tights into one seamless piece. Engineered to feel weightless yet supportive, Mist Weave™ reflects our belief that innovation should enhance comfort and versatility, not compromise it. It’s a testament to how shapewear can adapt to women’s real lives while helping them feel confident and free.


We also work closely with our community through surveys, co-creation workshops, and ambassador programs, gathering feedback at every stage and continuously refining our designs. Each garment is tested for comfort, durability, and everyday wear, including repeated washing, to make sure it performs in real life.


By combining thoughtful design with insights from real women, Shapellx positions shapewear as a source of confidence and self-expression. It’s about celebrating individuality, helping women feel comfortable, and empowering them to embrace their own beauty.


In your experience, what role does shapewear play in how women show up in their daily lives, whether at work, special events, or just casual days out?


Shane: We think of shapewear as the inner armor of women’s confidence. It provides support that allows women to feel secure and comfortable in their own skin, whether they’re stepping into an important meeting, attending a special event, or enjoying a casual day out. The right shapewear doesn’t just shape the body — it helps women carry themselves with ease, presence, and quiet confidence in every moment of their day.


What message do you hope women receive when they put on a Shapellx piece?


Shane: When a woman puts on a Shapellx piece, we hope she feels more than just supported — we hope she feels celebrated, confident, and comfortable in her own skin. Each design is made to move with her, not against her, so she can focus on living boldly, expressing freely, and embracing every curve as her own. Shapellx is not about changing who she is — it’s about amplifying the strength and beauty that’s already there.


With the INNER ARMOR™ Collection and Confidence Index now officially launched, what’s one thing you’d like our readers to know about Shapellx that hasn’t been shared yet?


Shane: One thing we’d like readers to know is that 2025 marks our first year hosting in-person events. We’ve connected face-to-face with hundreds of customers, influencers, and media in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Miami, creating memorable experiences and direct conversations about our products. Looking ahead, we plan to expand these events to more cities across the U.S., continuing to bring Shapellx closer to the women we serve.
