Celebrity stylist Dorian Jihad is set to make history with the highly anticipated Dorian Jihad’s Birthday Ball (Celeb Edition), a cultural milestone merging New York City’s star power with Newark’s vibrant LGBTQIA+ community. Presented by the Kiki House of Old Navy in association with Dr. Pilar Scratch and H.O.F.
Tyra Oldnavy, this groundbreaking celebration is already being hailed as “the biggest ball in Jersey Kiki scene history.This star-studded event will spotlight ten standout voguers and two celebrity headliners, who will receive one of ballroom’s most prestigious honors: being crowned House Mothers of the Night.
Winners will receive a shared $1,000 cash prize, a feature cover in Disrupshion Magazine alongside their celebrity House Mother, and a billboard placement in downtown Newark — a monumental recognition of talent, creativity, and influence within the ballroom community.
The evening promises electrifying performances, red carpet glamour, and a celebration of inclusivity, artistry, and ballroom legacy. In a powerful act of community care, the ball will also host a coat drive supporting homeless queer youth. Guests are encouraged to bring new or gently used coats to help ensure warmth and dignity for those in need during the winter months.
The event is open to all, welcoming the Newark community and surrounding areas to unite for a night that embodies giving, love, and empowerment. Adding to the excitement, two top-tier brand sponsors will be revealed in November, amplifying the cultural and social impact of the ball. The official list of featured voguers and celebrity House Mothers will also be announced on November 1, 2025, setting the stage for what is expected to be a historic red carpet experience celebrating diversity, self-expression, and community pride.
