3 Non-Profit Organization that need your support.

Without a doubt, the current pandemic has affected some people more than others. For this reason, we must start doing as much as we can to help organizations stay afloat so they can keep doing their jobs. In Heart of Hollywood Magazine, we care about different causes focused on serving their communities and in need of notoriety and donations. We invite you to check out the following non-profits and learn more about their fantastic work.

1. Doctors of the World

Doctors of the World is an International Human Rights Organization that provides emergency and long-term medical care to vulnerable people, wherever they are. They answer the crisis from within, seek out marginalized populations, and build long-term, sustainable healthcare infrastructures in places society would prefer to ignore. Around the world, men, women, and children are denied medical care due to a lack of resources or rights. Their mission is to provide care for anyone who is excluded from the healthcare system. At the same time, they are creating awareness on the vulnerable parts of the world that are deeply and more affected by the pandemic. There are many ways to help this organization: by online or mail donations, monthly giving (which is a very effective way to donate), tribute giving, donate stocks, corporate giving, donor-advised funds, and many more.

2. Children's Defend Fund

To succeed, children need stable homes, quality health care, ample nutritious food, good schools, safe neighborhoods, and access to resources and opportunities that enable them to reach their potential. But the fact is that for too many of our children, these basic building blocks for success are out of reach. The Children’s Defend fund works specifically to make sure every child in America has what they need to thrive. For more than 40 years, the Children’s Defense Fund has been fiercely independent and unwavering in its defense against any attack on children. They continue to work every day, at every level, and on behalf of every child to improve their lives right now and for generations to come.

You can make a one-time or monthly donation ranging from $10 to $75. Nowadays, children are in bigger peril with systemic racism and COVID-19 impacting their lives at the same time. We urge you to consider making a monthly donation so that the Children’s Defend Fund has enough resources to do its amazing work. 3. Community Change

Community Change is a national organization that builds power from the ground up. “We believe that effective and enduring social movements must be led by those most impacted by injustice themselves. Since our founding in 1968, we have built the power of people most marginalized by injustice — especially people of color, women, immigrants, people struggling to make ends meet — to envision and fight for a society where all communities thrive.”

They seek to empower low-income citizens, especially of color, and to change the policies and institutions that impact their lives. Their people are directly working with individuals that are affected by injustice: people struggling to make ends meet, people of color, women, and immigrants. An organization like Community Change is exactly what the world needs to reach true equality someday and we believe their focus on targeting the policies is a great way to make that happen.
