Strong Field and Tight Leaderboard at the 2026 Genesis Invitational

The 2026 Genesis Invitational continues at the historic Riviera Country Club, marking the tournament’s 100th playing and bringing together one of the strongest fields of the PGA TOUR season.


Leading the spotlight are World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and World No. 2 Rory McIlroy, headlining an elite lineup that includes 18 of the top 20 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. Hosted by Tiger Woods, the invitational features a select 72-player field competing for a $4 million winner’s prize from a total $20 million purse.


Round 2 Highlights — February 20


Marco Penge and Jacob Bridgeman share the lead at 12-under par after impressive performances through two rounds. Close behind, Xander Schauffele surged into contention with a strong second-round 65, setting the stage for an exciting weekend. The cut landed at even par, leaving several notable names out of the final rounds.



A Day of Sunshine, Resilience, and Fans


Following several rainy days earlier in the week, Friday brought a noticeable chill across the course. Yet as the day unfolded, sunshine finally broke through the clouds, casting Riviera in a renewed glow. Spectators embraced the crisp weather, enjoying an exceptional day walking the fairways and gathering along the greens, many observing their favorite players from close range. The atmosphere was vibrant, intimate, and unmistakably special — a true celebration of the game and its loyal fans.


With the weekend rounds ahead, the $20 million signature event is shaping up for a thrilling and highly competitive finish.
