The 2026 Oscars, hosted by Conan O’Brien, took place on March 15 inside the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles and brought the film industry together to celebrate the best movies and performances of the past year. The nominees for Best Picture were very, very different from one another, and in the end Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another took home the award.

Michael B. Jordan won the Oscar for Best Actor thanks to his role in Sinners and Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for her work in Hamnet.
Beyond the winners and other nominees, celebrities from so many different generations were at the Dolby as presenters, entertainers, or guests. Barbra Streisand, for instance, delighted audiences with her voice. Anna Wintour was onstage alongside Anne Hathaway, soon to appear in The Devil Wears Prada 2. The cast of Bridesmaids showed up together, 15 years after the release of the movie. Gwyneth Paltrow created a stir in a minimalist, highly revealing gown, as did Demi Moore in an extravagant green and black Gucci gown. Actor Billy Crystal delivered a moving tribute to the late Rob Reiner, who will be missed forever.
Beyond the ceremony, the city of Los Angeles was alive with celebrations. One of the most talked-about events was the official Oscars watch party at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The venue provided a beautiful and stylish space where guests could watch the show together while surrounded by the history of filmmaking. The atmosphere felt both elegant and fun, making it a special place to experience the Oscars.
