Martial Artist and Actress Emma Charlotte Bensche Is Making a Name for Herself
Actress Emma Charlotte Bensche, born in 1975 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, has been practicing martial arts since 1994. She signed with The Rock Agency, a local talent agency, and began taking acting classes.
“I later got training to do stunts and acting for movies through the Screen Actors Stunt Association. I also studied at the Action Film Academy in New York and graduated in 2007. I attended TVI Actors Studio and did a little bit of modeling, too,” Emma says.
The actress holds a Second Degree Black Belt in martial arts and practices archery. Her stunt moves include head snaps and reactions, fighting, falling, knife throwing, window dives, kicking in doors, swinging from a line, working with firearms, obstacle dive rolls, barrel hits, gunshot reactions, jerk lines, car dives with guns, and working with a short zip line.
This athletic beauty was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame on January 12th, 2008. This honor is as prestigious for martial artists as the Academy Awards are for individuals in film.
Emma now resides in Madison, Wisconsin, and in 2011 she worked as a background actor in Battleground, a web series shot there. It was created for Hulu.
Although not formally trained, she loves to dance, imitate voices, and experiment with photography.
