Through A Childs Eyes, Savannah Grace Andrew

Hello everyone. my name is Savannah Andrew and I’m from Dallas, Texas. My life is a little different from most 10-year-old girls. I was born in Texas, but I grew up in Tennessee and I’m kind of a tomboy. I don’t really have very many friends, but my cousin Sadie is my best friend. I have 2 big brothers a sister-in-law and 2 nieces who live with us as well as 4 sisters and a baby brother that live with their mothers.

My mom is a single parent and she is disabled. She has a lot of stuff wrong with her back and it makes it hard for her to walk sometimes. So it makes it hard for me because I don’t get to have a normal life. I usually have to help my mom and do a lot of things at home that she can’t do. I take care of my little nieces and I don’t see my dad often. But one thing that my momma always teaches me is that we have God in our lives and love is more important than anything. We volunteered to help the homeless at church and where we live because there is always someone out there who needs help and has way less than we do. I know God has a plan for my life and I am hopeful that someday maybe we can make the world a better place. I hope one day I can help other girls like me who need a positive influence.

I would like for everyone to know that Jesus is always watching over them even when times are hard and one day I wish we could make sure every person had a place to live and enough food to eat. This is how I see the world through my eyes. It’s not always pretty, but God makes the rainbows, and if we all learn to love each other and care for each other more the world would be a better place.
