Julian Jordan, a multifaceted model and actor,  has recently gained recognition as the Male Cover Model Contest winner for Heart of Hollywood Magazine fall edition.

His journey in both the fashion world and the nonprofit sector demonstrates a unique blend of creativity, professionalism, and dedication to community service. As the founder of the International Foundation for Development Freedom (IFDF), Julian balances a thriving modeling career with a mission to support those in need.

Julian shares his thoughts on winning the contest, his start in the modeling industry, and the passion that drives his philanthropic endeavors. From walking the runway for top designers to addressing critical issues like homelessness in Los Angeles, Julian’s work reflects his commitment to both personal and community growth.

Julian, congratulations on participating in the contest and winning the most votes. How do you feel?

Thank you! It’s truly exciting. I was nominated by friends to participate in the contest, and I’m so grateful the public and viewers voted for me. I’m thankful for their support. It’s energizing for artists in Hollywood to have a platform like xyour magazine to connect with the audience, fans, and community. It’s amazing when fellow models, actors, and performers support and appreciate each other’s work.

How did you get started in the modeling industry, and what drew you to runway and fashion modeling specifically?

I’ve always been passionate about music, theater, and the performing arts in general since childhood, and I was involved in various artistic activities growing up. My interest in modeling began with fashion photography. During high school, I was scouted by one of Bulgaria’s top award-winning photographers, and we worked together on several projects. One of my fashion shots even won an award, which sparked my love for fashion and led me to the runway, where I’ve modeled for numerous designers over the years.

As a professional model, you work with various designers and brands. How do you prepare for different fashion shows while maintaining your own style?

Modeling in fashion shows is a unique experience. I’ve had the opportunity to model for top designers, and preparing for each show involves understanding the designer’s vision and the brand’s identity. Each show has its own flow and dynamic. I stay focused, maintain a positive mindset, and stay connected with the event’s team, agents, and organizers. To keep my style authentic, I remain true to myself by being kind, direct, and professional while enjoying the opportunity to meet new people in the industry.

Beyond your modeling career, you recently founded the International Foundation for Development Freedom (IFDF). What inspired you?

I’ve always had a desire to help and give back to the community, a value I’ve carried since my upbringing. Throughout my studies and work with other community organizations, I wanted to create a lasting impact, which led me to establish IFDF. The foundation’s goal is to raise awareness in Hollywood and the entertainment industry about community empowerment and leadership, especially in regard to helping underserved individuals.

IFDF is dedicated to reducing homelessness and hunger in Los Angeles. Can you share some of the initiatives and programs you’re implementing to address these issues?

Our foundation is focused on empowering underserved communities, including youth, minorities, and people experiencing homelessness. One of our goals is raising awareness about homeless prevention. We are currently partnering with sponsors andvendors to distribute essentials such as food, water, clothing, and other necessities to those in need. Our team is dedicated to continuing these efforts and growing our impact.

The housing crisis is a critical concern. How is IFDF working to assist families in finding safe and

stable shelter?

Homelessness in Los Angeles has worsened over the years due to various factors, including economic hardship and mental health issues. The pandemic heightened these challenges. Though IFDF is still in its startup phase, we are partnering with other nonprofits to provide referrals to shelters and temporary housing options. Our long-term goal is to help individuals secure permanent housing.

Crisis management is a vital aspect of your work. What are some proactive measures IFDF takes to respond to emergencies and support vulnerable populations?

Crisis management in the nonprofit sector involves providing timely intervention and access to essential resources. Our organization focuses on grassroots-level efforts, offering information, guidance, and support to underserved communities. For example, many people experiencing homelessness also suffer from mental health issues and don’t know how to seek help. That’s why it’s crucial for us to provide education and referrals.

Education and training are essential for long-term development. How does IFDF support international education opportunities and training programs?

Education is a key goal for IFDF. We strive to empower communities by encouraging education and career development. We participate in international cultural fairs, sharing information about study abroad programs and training opportunities. Additionally, we organize donation drives to distribute school supplies to students, both locally and internationally. Our foundation has also been involved in educational campaigns in Bulgaria, and we hope to expand these efforts globally.

Starting a nonprofit while maintaining a high-profile modeling career must be challenging. How do you manage to balance both roles and ensure you’re giving each your full attention?

Balancing a nonprofit with my modeling and entertainment projects can be challenging, but it’s all about prioritizing and staying organized. I didn’t initially know how to start the nonprofit, but after speaking with a nonprofit consulting company, I was able to navigate the process. It’s important to stay on top of your schedule while remaining flexible. I love what I do, and that passion helps synchronize my various activities.

For those inspired by your story and wanting to support IFDF, how can they get involved or contribute?

There are many ways to get involved with IFDF. Volunteers can help distribute food and donations, provide administrative support, or engage with the community. We also welcome monetary and goods donations. People interested in supporting our cause can visit our website at thefoundationfreedom.com to learn more or to make a donation.

What are your long-term goals and aspirations for both your acting and modeling career and your work with IFDF?

I hope to expand my work in the entertainment industry by taking on more acting roles and commercial projects. I recently signed with a new agent and continue to take acting classes to improve my skills. In the nonprofit space, I aim to increase fundraising for IFDF, bring on more sponsors, and expand our services to reach more people in need.
