Jessica Ross is a well-known actress and reporter, appearing on television and in films; she has also written for several fashion blogs, been on reality TV, and done much more. In 2017, she was one of the lead cast members of the Fashion One Network’s reality series, Fashion Dolls which aired across 175 countries in over 400 million households. In 2018 she drew praise for her role in 15 Seconds Fame which premiered at Marche Du Film Festival De Cannes and was short-listed for the Oscars. Other projects include highlighting businesses as a host for Big Review TV, presenting at the Hollywood Now Film Festival, reporting for Backstage Weekly, and being the LA Correspondent for Waves & Runways. Media outlets Jessica has been featured on include Indie Activity, Action Magazine, Voyage LA, Flicks Daily, Juwai, It Can By You, Livin Style Magazine, Buzzfeed, and CBS. Most recently, Jessica created her own reality show, "Hollywood Unexpected" which won Best Comedy at the iHollywood Film Festival.
How did your involvement with the Fashion One Network’s reality series, Fashion Dolls come about?
Jessica Ross: Before Fashion Dolls, I attended several of Dov Serrot’s events. They heard about my red carpet experience and asked me to be a part of the show.
You’re very multitalented as an actress, journalist, publicist, producer, and more. How do you balance your personal life and career?
Jessica Ross: I’m working on it!! Some things I do are exercise most days, get together with friends and family when possible, allow one day or at least a half-day every week to clear my mind and decompress.
What has your journey been like so far creating your own reality show, “Hollywood Unexpected”?
Jessica Ross: I’m discovering so much about myself. My strengths, my fears, learning a multitude of new things — editing, producing, directing, putting it all together to create the episodes. Thankful for the dedication and help from the Iseli family, Ronnie Carol, and the many other people involved!
When you first set out to pursue your career path, what impact did you intend to make?
Jessica Ross: A HUGE IMPACT! That’s always been my goal. For “Hollywood Unexpected” my vision is to show much of the things I’ve lived through and continue to live through. Share with others the good, the bad, the ugly and hopefully inspire people to go after their dreams.
Who are some public figures that have inspired you along the way?
Jessica Ross: There have been many public figures that have inspired me at a moment in time. Too many names to share. Any celebrity that is involved with charity work and giving back to others is a total inspiration to me.
What are some obstacles that you have overcome in the entertainment industry that made you the woman that you are today?
Jessica Ross: One of the obstacles I’ve had to overcome is getting to grips with the uncertainty of the business with all of its peaks and valleys.
Also, most good acting roles go to men with the exception of the few actresses who are already well established. Luckily, in the past few years, things have been changing and there’s no question that women are progressing in every part of the business.
What’s next for Jessica?
Jessica Ross: For this incredible journey to continue.
