ATX TV Festival has announced new additions to its 2025 festival line-up, taking place May 29 — June 1, 2025 in Austin, TX, including:

World Premiere of Netflix’s THE WATERFRONT — Opening Day of the festival will feature the World Premiere of Netflix and Universal Television’s The Waterfront, from prolific creator / showrunner Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek, The Vampire Diaries). Inspired by true events and set against the backdrop of coastal North Carolina, The Waterfront follows the Buckley family as they struggle to keep their crumbling fishing empire afloat and their legacy intact.

Following the premiere screening, Williamson will be joined by cast members Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Jake Weary (Animal Kingdom), Melissa Benoist (The Girls on the Bus), Rafael L. Silva (9–1–1: Lone Star), and Danielle Campbell (The Originals) for a conversation about the twisty, eight episode drama. The Waterfront premieres June 19 on Netflix.

Pluto TV presents Official Badgeholder Lounge & “Ladies of the Law” Panel — Pluto TV will return as presenter of the Festival’s Official Badgeholder Lounge for Season 14, which will include daily hosted events, themed photo opps and activities featuring your favorite series on Pluto TV, and a place for attendees to take a break and chat TV throughout the Festival. In the spirit of free TV, Pluto TV will also provide free pedicab transportation for ATX TV Festival Badgeholders all weekend long!

In addition to the Lounge and Pedicabs, Pluto TV will host “Ladies of the Law: Crime Dramas and the Women Who Run Them,” a discussion with women on screen and behind the scenes of your favorite legal dramas and crime procedurals about why these stories continue to draw viewers in week after week, how they continue to find ways to challenge and elevate the genre, and why we love to watch women fight for justice. Confirmed panelists include actors Carrie Preston (Elsbeth), Skye P. Marshall (Matlock), Kirsten Vangsness (Criminal Minds: Evolution), and Amy Kuessner, Executive Vice President of Programming for Pluto TV).\

TV Mixtape: Reasonable Doubt — Creator/showrunner Raamla Mohamed will lead an exclusive conversation about the curation of the show’s soundtrack and the integral role that music plays in the legal drama Reasonable Doubt, from influencing episode titles, to driving narratives and creating character-defining moments.

The hit series, hailing from Onyx Collective and 20th Television, follows brilliant defense attorney Jax Stewart (Emayatzy Corinealdi) as she juggles high-profile cases, family, friends, and a complicated personal life. Reasonable Doubt will return for season three later this year. Seasons one and two are currently streaming on Hulu.

We Were Liars Sneak Peek & Conversation — Executive producers / co-showrunners Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie, and author / executive producer E. Lockhart will join for a conversation and sneak peek at Prime Video’s upcoming series We Were Liars, based on Lockhart’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same name. The series, a tragic love story and amnesia thriller, picks up as 17-year-old Cadence returns to Beechwood, a private island off Martha’s Vineyard, seeking answers a year after a mysterious accident left her with amnesia. Premiering later this summer on Prime Video, the series stars Emily Alyn Lind (Gossip Girl), Shubham Maheshwari (Haven Dust), Esther McGregor (High School), Joseph Zada (Invisible Boys), Caitlin Fitzgerald (Succession), Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife), Candice King (The Vampire Diaries), Mamie Gummer (The Good Wife), Rahul Kohlii (The Fall of the House of Usher) and David Morse (The Last Thing He Told Me).
