Q: How did you get started?
I started studying Qi Gong in 1995 when my teacher Grandmaster Weizhao, a family friend, came to Canada. Wu achieved the official highest title of Qi Gong in China and was appointed as a member of the Talent Bank of the Science Research Academy. He is the creator of Wu's Eye Qi Gong®, which has helped millions worldwide.
When I was 20 years old, I had tuberculosis and was placed in quarantine, much like what we experienced with Covid. I recovered, but it left me in poor health and with many allergies and chronic pains. I spent many years researching how to heal myself. Finally, I felt better when I started Qi Gong at 38. I can spend hours around cats without experiencing allergies, which is a miracle considering that I used to have to take Antihistamines all the time when I was near pets. Now I can even heal animals.
Q: What inspired you to start your school?
My marriage broke abruptly after a year of studying Qi Gong, leaving me with three young children to raise by myself. So I started my own Qi Gong school to help people's health and share the good news of Qi Gong with them. I partnered with my teacher to get started.
When my teacher passed away, the torch was passed on to me, and I became the sole successor of his lineage and Master of the family. It was a great honor because it is rare for a female to become the successor of her Master's Qi Gong lineage. Throughout the ages, the blessings and teachings of the Master are mostly passed on to a worthy male student.
What is Chi or Qi?
Chi or Qi (pronounced chee in the Mandarin language) means energy. All matters have energy, so all matters have Qi. It is also the energy behind the "Law of Attraction" that brings all things together. So the Chi attracts the like-vibrations into your life.
What is Qi Gong?
It is a 5,000 years ancient Chinese self-healing practice that comes in many different forms, involving slow, peaceful body movements, deep breathing, and focused awareness.
It's a widespread practice for healing, longevity, and spiritual growth and is often used to ease discomfort and reduce aches and pain. You could compare it to a gentle yet powerful moving meditation.
I have updated and modernized my techniques for the 21st century.
How does it work?
The body goes through different cycles; it has a flight and fight mode for working out, doing labor, or handling crises, and a healing mode to recuperate, rejuvenate and heal.
Qi Gong nurturing moves create circulation that leads you out of the flight and fight mode. As you increasingly relax, the Qi energy expands and sends nutrients to every body part, including the meridians and channels. There are twelve main meridians, each associated with a different organ system. Any imbalances in this flow cause diseases.
Q: What is the difference between Tai Chi and Qi Gong?
Qi Gong is easy to remember, short, and simple. It can be done standing, sitting, or lying down and is wheelchair friendly. As a result, people often seek it after Reiki and yoga to deepen their practice.
On the other hand, Tai Chi can be very complicated, hard to remember, and difficult to practice. This is because it was initially created as a form of slow-motion kung fu that also cultivated the inner life force of Chi energy. However, In Tai Chi, the word 'Chi' means ultimate, extreme, or what is on top. It does not mean 'energy,' like in Chi Gong.
The Chinese practice Tai Chi for general health maintenance, like practicing yoga.

Q: What are Qi Gong's health benefits?
Qi Gong has hundreds of scientific research studies on how it assists and supports the healing of all kinds of diseases, such as
Anxiety
Diabetes
Eyes sight
Digestive problems
Fibromyalgia
Chronic fatigue
Cancer
Menopausal symptoms
Practicing Qi Gong increases your life force, which helps improve all health conditions.
So I teach people how first to become aware of their Qi energy and harness its power to move it in ways that enable them to manifest what they want.
I design Qi Gong practices to address various specific health conditions and general prevention and well-being. For example, I used to wear eyeglasses, but I don't anymore.
You can also use Qi Gong to get more money or clients. It even works on pets.
It's all about energy; you can change your circumstances if you shift your energy.
The Chinese believe that practicing Qi gong or receiving Qi from a Qi Gong Master may help to save their lives. The Qi can be projected from the practitioner's hand for external healing in Chi Balancing Sessions.
Q: How much Qi Gong must a person practice to see results?
I developed prescription Qi Gong methods tailored to the health conditions being addressed. For example, the movements and breath can vary for digestion, eye health, or the endocrine system.
They are effortless to learn, and because they are targeted to a specific outcome, you will experience benefits every time you practice, even for as little as 5 to 15 minutes.
Q: How can Qi Gong enhance athletic performance?
Qi Gong supports the healing of injuries and promotes peak performance.
It increases focus and enhances brain-muscle connections, which improves strength, power, and endurance. As a result, athletes practicing Qi Gong find they can move more efficiently and with greater intensity. Qi Gong also helps to prevent and heal injuries by improving the athlete's balance, coordination, and flexibility.
Research has shown that Qi Gong boosts testosterone, produces Nitric Oxide and DHEA, and regulates hormonal imbalances, improving both male and female health. In addition, it has been proven to positively impact physical, mental, and emotional health, improving sleep, increasing energy levels, and reducing stress.
Q: What inspired you to focus on Qi Gong for Women?
I was in deep grief after losing my teacher. My sister also died of breast cancer. She wasn't even 40 years old! So I started innovating and testing how to use Qi Gong to let go and release feelings. This is how Heart Chi Gong came into existence.
Women think differently than men. For example, men talk less than women. So I created an online program called Chi Gong: The Natural Menopause Solution to unite women to speak and practice Qi Gong simultaneously. I love helping women take charge of their health, and I attract those who seek natural help for perimenopause, menopause, or postmenopause. I am 65. I've gone through it already.
As a result, we are building a solid community of women that can support each other through healing and growth to balance their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual health.
Q: Do you have any last words?
Qi Gong can be done by anyone of all ages and backgrounds willing to learn and practice. My programs are available online and in person, and you can find many free resources on my website.
