The Starwood Diner is a casual restaurant in Texas that provides a safe and comfortable environment and affordable and scrumptious food. “This diner has honestly and clearly changed my path in life,” says Eunice Lee, the current owner, and manager. “I am a mother of two children and from South Ko- rea. As an immigrant living in the U.S., everything was brand-new and extremely overwhelming at first. We started off working hard in New York and slowly made our way into the restaurant business. I first got into the food industry by working at a small deli. It was an exhausting job since it was just me and my husband working and taking care of our children. My daughter was in elementary school, and my son was extremely young back then. However, I continued to work hard, dreaming of running a restaurant.”
After working at the deli for over six years, Eunice’s dream of owning a restaurant came true. “In 2018, we began our journey at Starwood Diner. From the start, we were blessed to have many people coming in. In our diner, we served, and continue to serve, breakfast and lunch from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. We are open every day of the week and closed on certain holidays. Every day since then, my life has become filled with positivity. We will always provide the best quality food and great customer service. I always want our customers to feel at home and feel comfortable when they eat at our restaurant,” Eunice explains. Ever since coronavirus concerns started, businesses suffered. However, Eunice believes the diner’s loyal customers made the situation more bearable and influenced her to view things in a more positive light.
“We hope to provide a safe environment that will bring joy, as well as affordable and scrumptious food,” Eunice says. “We have received many amazing reviews from our customers. On Google, we have a 4.8-star rating. On Yelp, we have a 4.5 rating. We also received an honorable mention as ‘the coolest diner in Texas.’ This was based on Yelp reviews. We will always prioritize our customers and their opinions. I am extremely grateful and feel blessed that our restaurant has prospered so much in a few short, yet amazing, years.”
