Meat vs. Vegan The Truth Behind Eating Meat

By Batista Gremaud

Ok, let's dive into this controversy.

So you eat meat. Your spiritual friends are looking at you with lifted eyebrows! Somewhere in your gut, you feel guilty.

Of course, you have heard at least a couple of hundred times the slogan: "You are what you eat!" as you just devoured the last bite of a big juicy steak, you close your eyes, like the ostrich in the sand, avoiding the issue moving on with your busy life. Yet, deep inside, you feel uneasy.

A Different Outlook

The problem is not whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, dairy-free, or whatever the new free choice might be.

The problem is animal cruelty, GMOs, pesticides, and additives; the list goes on for greed's sake.

There are no secrets of how animals are inhumanely treated and butchered, their skulls crushed with metal bolts before being slaughtered. Sometimes they are still alive and conscious when dismembered because of the constant pressure of production.

Fed bi-products and injected with hormones for faster growth; they are then injected with antibiotics to rid them of diseases, hopefully. Abused while alive and slaughtered under appalling conditions is the way that most meat is raised and processed that is the problem.

Eating meat from animals treated humanely and not pumped full of hormones and other chemicals is not a problem.

When we eliminate a vital food source such as meat from our diets, there are health consequences.

Humans Are Not Supposed To Be Vegan!

In our latest interview on Dr Fitness USA THE SHOW, Dr. Laleh Talebian, a cancer research scientist and champion bodybuilder, explains:

"Humans are naturally omnivores:

Omnivores are like dogs; we're supposed to eat animal protein and vegetables as a carbohydrate source. That is our essential diet. So you can't change that. If you tried to make your dog vegetarian, it would only survive for a short time.

So we should not be vegetarians and vegans, but why?

There are 21 amino acids, 10 or 11 essential ones, which we get through food. The others are non-essential amino acids, meaning our bodies can synthesize them.

Your essential amino acids come from animal-based proteins, such as meat, fish, chicken, turkey, and eggs. Your body knows how to utilize animal-based protein because it is supposed to use it as fuel.

No plant has all of the essential amino acids in the form and shape of absorbability that humans can utilize. So don't fool yourself. Your pea protein is not giving you all the essential amino acids.

Consider this: If you put gasoline in a diesel truck, it will die. However, our bodies are much more sophisticated than trucks, so they try to adapt. But honestly, it becomes toxic after a while because plant protein doesn't get absorbed entirely or utilized by your body. Because it's unfamiliar, you're just taking in something your body can't put 100% to use.

Now I will tell you this: not all meat is created equal, so beef from a feedlot that has been corn-fed is toxic, so drop it like a bomb. Instead, you want to get beef that is naturgrass-fedally grass fed what it's supposed to eat, just like we're supposed to eat what we're supposed to eat.

The same thing applies to animals.

So when you have grass-fed, free-range, happy animals, you get good quality protein for a happy body."

Here is an additional thought: Buy Kosher

Why buy kosher meats if you are not Jewish?

Here are a few critical reasons why buying Kosher could be a good idea.

First, the kosher ritual involves a more respectful and quicker death. The animal is put down with a clean, sharp knife, specially designed with a square end vs. a pointed end to avoid stabbing. The process is fast and painless, with a very rapid and precise cut to the throat, allowing the blood and the brain to drain quickly to render the animal unconscious as rapidly as possible. The meat is not considered kosher if the animal shows any pain.

Also, in the meats labeled Glatt Kosher, the organs have been inspected for parasites and lesions to ensure that the animal is free of disease. For this reason, the animals are treated humanely while alive, given more room to pasture and move, and fed correctly, avoiding by-products.

Eating Kosher meats would enable you to enjoy good quality meat that tastes delicious, with a clean conscience. Feeling at ease that the flesh you are eating has not endured such disgraceful treatment. You would lead by example, taking a proactive approach to raise awareness of animal cruelty and assist in establishing humane laws and guidelines in slaughterhouses.

There are no merits for humans to try to create positive changes by adopting self-sabotage behaviors.

"The Spirit cannot endure the body when overfed, but when underfed, the body cannot endure the spirit." St Francis de Sales

We have to eat what we are supposed to eat. Choose your meats wisely as you lean toward buying organic fruits and vegetables. Change comes from addressing the problem at the source. Going vegan does not address the issue.

Going Back To Nature Is The Answer

Reestablishing the natural order of things is the answer to bringing balance back into our lives while showing respect to mother Earth.

Also always remember that love changes the vibrations of things. So always cook your meals with love and eat them with gratitude. Do the right thing, and lose the guilt.
