By Giovanna Salas,

The Kolkata International Art Fair (KIAF) 2026, held from January 10–16, 2026 at the Bharatiyam Multiplex, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, concluded as a resounding success — marking a powerful moment for Indian and international art. Over seven vibrant days, the fair brought together artists, galleries, collectors, cultural leaders, and art enthusiasts in a dynamic platform dedicated to artistic dialogue, cultural exchange, and creative discovery.

A Grand Inauguration and Cultural Vision

The inaugural session set a prestigious tone, opened by distinguished dignitaries including Padmashree Biman Bihari Das, alongside cultural leadership from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and the Director of EZCC. The ceremony underscored the fair’s mission: to strengthen India’s cultural voice globally while creating meaningful opportunities for artists across borders.

The encouragement from Honorable Union Minister of Culture, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, further reinforced the significance of the fair as a future landmark event within the international cultural calendar.
