The end of the year is drawing near; there is no better time to take stock of where we are now. Have we accomplished our goals or fallen short? What can we do differently in the new year to reach new heights?
When we align with our life's purpose, we can direct our energies toward things that matter to us and feel a sense of drive and meaning. While not always easy, it can be a very satisfying and joyful way to live and make us feel more fulfilled and happier.
Everyone's life purpose is different. For some people, it may be to make the world a better place by working toward social justice or environmental protection. For others, it may be to raise a family and be a good role model for their children. Some people may feel that their life purpose is to create art or pursue a passion, while others may think their goal is to be happy and live a life of fulfillment. Ultimately, living your life purpose involves a meaningful life that brings you happiness.
I believe that we all inherently know our life's purpose. Stepping out of our comfort zone, even though it is sometimes challenging to do so, involves overcoming the painful lessons we are here to learn. A failure to believe in ourselves and the ability to rise to a higher level of consciousness leads to self-sabotage.
Let's explore.
Self-sabotage. When we feel close to success, we make excuses and return to our comfort zone. We fear success or believe subconsciously we don't deserve it.
We make excuses instead of making changes. We backslide and then feel guilty and miserable for not moving forward, allowing life to get in the way.
Blind-Spot. We are unaware of our blocks because we live in a busy world with busy minds, and we lose touch with our inner-being
Wake Up Calls
Then life kicks our butt and throws curveballs our way. Those are wake-up calls to shake us out of the safe zone.
Personally, I lost everything more than I could count, especially when I got a call in the middle of the night that my dance studio was on fire. When I arrived, the building was burnt to the ground; I lost everything and had to reinvent myself from the ground up.
From growing up surrounded by mental illnesses in my family to incurring multiple career-ending injuries as a professional flamenco dancer touring worldwide, my warrior spirit pushed me to continue fighting toward my grander vision.
Stop Asking Yourself, "What is My Purpose in Life?" And Do This Instead
The best way to overcome life challenges and live your life's purpose is by taking action and not giving up. You can sit around and think about your problems all you want, but until you take action, nothing is going to change. It may include changing your mindset, developing new skills, or changing direction.
Success happens when we get in the flow of our life purpose.

Get Into The Center Of Your Being.
By constantly being in our head, it's easy to fall into analysis/paralysis and over-intellectualize everything, whether real or imagined, which is all left brain, aka Yang energy. As a result, we become out of balance with our female Yin energy.
This pattern transfers in the workout arena when exercising, where we lose ourselves by playing the no-pain, no-gain game, thinking that more is better, which causes us to fall more out of touch with our bodies and further from our heart center.
BusyVille unconsciously becomes a path of oblivion, avoiding what truly matters and getting in touch with our true life purpose.
Instead, keep yourself grounded and strong.
The fastest, easiest, and surest way to overcome anything is to stay strong and healthy, enabling you to remain calm, focused and think about the best solution without overreacting. Physical, mental, and emotional strength are all related. When you are healthy and physically strong, you stand more of a chance to be a winner.
Prioritize self-care and strength training.
Take time to be quiet, and sit still.
Whether you go to the beach, the boardwalk, or the park, schedule time to be quiet; silence helps you hear and discriminate the voices in your head. Unfortunately, this can be a difficult concept for some people because it is only sometimes experienced in today's society and can be awkward and uncomfortable.
However, when all thoughts cease, and the mind goes quiet, a profound sense of peace and stillness can be accessed, leading to acute clarity.
Clarity brings vision and direction.
Write things down.
There is power in writing things down. This positive action takes the ideas in your head out to the forefront and closer to reality. When you journal your vision and feelings on paper, you don't have to worry about filters or what people will say or think.
Make a declaration.
Make positive and happy statements about your excitement to pursue your life purpose. Keep it simple, don't elaborate, don't hesitate to ask for help, and allow people to ask questions. You don't have to have all the answers, don't doubt yourself; be open to finding solutions. Keep declaring your passion and purpose with certainty. The answers will come in time.
Whatever challenge you are facing, remember that you can overcome it. Draw on your inner strength and resilience, and don't give up. There is always a brighter future for those who pursue their life's purpose.
