About the Film
In the arid outskirts of a small Mexican town, a violent feud over water rights ignites a tragedy that spans generations. Amid the chaos, Modesta, pregnant and fearful, flees to protect her unborn child and escape the cycle of blood and vengeance. Years later, her daughter Lina, seeking freedom in Los Angeles, faces her own battle against control and abuse. The legacy of pain ultimately falls upon Zeny, the youngest of the three women, who must summon the courage to break the silence and reclaim her destiny.
Felina A Cry in Silence is a powerful generational drama that blends action, psychological tension, social realism, and women’s empowerment, revealing how faith and resilience can transform pain into triumph.
The evening will be hosted by MC Edgardo Eliezer, a celebrated Panamanian artist with an extensive career spanning music, acting, and television. Eliezer is an Ing. Geólogo and Ing. Técnico Medio in Fisicomatemáticas from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional de México, trained in acting at Centro de Educación Artística Televisa San Ángel, and a lifelong student of music at multiple prestigious institutions including the Conservatorio Nacional de Música. His accolades include two Grammy nominations, multiple Palmas de Oro, the Micrófono de Oro, recognition as Panameño destacado en México, and numerous humanitarian efforts including work with children with HIV and disaster relief initiatives in Haiti.
