Please tell us about The Gutsy Podcast and how it came about.

The Gutsy Podcast has been downloaded over 50k times in 111 countries. Each week, I empower women in business and in transition by humanizing feelings, encouraging individualism, and unraveling the “shoulds” that keep so many people stuck for decades. The podcast began as an in-person interview series called The Green Couch Project where I interviewed entrepreneurs about the ups and downs of entrepreneurship and the mindset that came along with each stage. I wanted to expand my reach and connect with more people without expanding my expenses, so I launched The Gutsy Podcast and the rest is history.

What do you love most about the show and being a podcast host?

I get to connect with incredible, talented, smart, and energetically tuned-in women from all around the world to have brilliant conversations that not only feel good but educate and inspire my listeners (and myself!). Every conversation is a reminder of how connected we all truly are and that support is all around you if you allow yourself to receive it.

What type of guests do you have on the show and what topics do you cover?

I interview female entrepreneurs all around the world. These are typically energetically driven women who are connected and tuned into their own intuition, and feminine energy and believe in the magic of possibility. We talk about entrepreneurship as a whole — mind, body, and purpose. Before you’re a business owner you’re a human and as a human you have thoughts, feelings, and desires that must be honored in order to achieve the level of happiness and success you crave. We’ve talked about everything from shame, anxiety, and limiting beliefs to orgasms, tapping, and somatic dancing, and occasionally throw in some marketing conversations about growth, expansion, and alignment.

What has been some feedback from your audience and supporters?

“Uplifting, motivational, and offers lots of real tips and strategies!”

“This podcast doesn’t sugarcoat our everyday experiences. aura talks real about everything! She’s raw and honest about her journey. There are lessons to be taken not just for your business but also for your life!”

“This podcast will give you permission to run your business the way you need to. Each episode is packed with incredible value.”

“Laura is so relatable and the topics are spot on for what entrepreneurs need to hear. Every time I click a new episode, I am immediately all in.”

Are you currently seeking any help with your podcast? If so, what kind?

Not at this time.

Are you currently seeking any guests? If so, how can they apply to be on the show?

We are recorded 6 months out. I am always accepting and reviewing applications, it just might be a while.

Tell us about your favorite show from this year and why was it memorable.

My favorite episode is episode 98: Thriving in a Practical and Energetic Business. Link here. This episode is packed with incredible energy and is an incredible reminder that we are energetic beings in a world that tries to tell us who and how to be and then when you allow yourself to hear your truest self and act from a space of alignment, anything and everything is possible.

What advice would you give to anyone who aspires to start a podcast?

Do what feels exciting to you. There are a lot of shows out there and it can be easy to fall into what you “should” do and forget why and how you want to run your show in the first place. There’s no right or wrong if you’re acting from an aligned space.

What can we be on the lookout for from The Gutsy Podcast in 2023?

The word MORE immediately came up. We’ve expanded into the video world and there will likely be some live podcast episodes airing.
