I would like to think that a new year is approaching… Well, this year has been kind to me. I have learned so much and taken the opportunity to see.
I learned that my very good friends are indeed very good friends, and that I can count on them. I am so fortunate to have friends, but you also have to let your friends know how much they mean to you and show that you care about them.
This year, I realized that I very much enjoy teaching and mentoring young people and sharing some of my work skills that I have learned working in the entertainment industry. I very much wish that their path of success would have more tools than what I had when I embarked on this journey, so I like sharing, and I like to work in a team.
The year 2022 was my worst, I confess; I’m thankful to be alive. But I learned something as well. Sometimes, people do not change, and people that do wrong to you will do it over and over again. You have to learn that you must protect your heart and let them go to find their path. It hurts when someone is so close to you, like a family member, but even a family member, we have to let go. This person(s) can make us sad, does not listen to us, take or keep our belongings, evade responsibility for acts, abandon you, leave you in precarious circumstances, do not express positive feelings about you, or simply do not say sorry for their wrongdoings. Don’t feel bad to say goodbye and take the courage to learn the lessons of what you must not accept. Sometimes this kind of person does say sorry, but it is too late, so you must be prepared to accept their apology and forgive them, but also know that you have done your best and are not obligated to welcome this person into your life.
I’m in the process of letting people go out of my life. I believe I have done my best and can’t do more. This decision is not easy, but this year has taught me to value myself, to have some compassion for myself, to share and give love to the person that perhaps I have neglected the most, and that person is me, Giovanna.
I believe I have another chance to do better, to love better, to open my heart to another world, and to welcome happiness into my life.
I have always been careful with time since I know that time is unexchangeable. Now I feel I will be even more careful with my time, whether it's sharing with friends, family, or teaching. You must try to acknowledge where your time will go.
This reflection does not change my personality. I am still laughing and having fun with myself and with others, and I am ready to take all chances. I will write more, I will dance more, I will create more, I will speak more, and if I have to, I will even sing.
I have to tell you that because I love my work, I’m able to keep going. I believe that if you find something that you truly can't live without becoming an expert, study as much as you can. If you have the resources to rely on online courses, I often go online and continue learning about a specific subject of my interest. Everything is possible.
When you find what you truly love, it is almost impossible that you can fall.
It is two days from the New Year, and I already have my grapes. At 12 midnight, I will run with my suitcase, eating my grapes and asking for my 12 wishes.
This year has taught me a lesson of having another chance.
Happy New Year!
With Love,
