September

By Batista Gremaud

As we say goodbye to the warm days of summer and hello to the cooler days of fall, September is a month to pause and reflect on the year thus far. It's a time to assess what we've accomplished and set goals for the rest of the year and beyond. For some, it's also a time to prepare for the holiday season.

September can be a time to dream, look ahead with hopefulness and anticipation, and imagine the future. To envision the things we would like to accomplish that we may have yet to be able to do in the past. To plan and create goals that we can pursue and achieve. A sense of adventure and a fresh perspective on the coming months, knowing that the future is full of potential and possibility.

September begins a new season where we reset, renew, and get inspired. We can step into the new year with fresh and innovative ideas, focus and prioritize the important things to us, and create the life we desire.

September also marks the beginning of the last quarter of the year!

The last quarter of the year is essential for many people, as it often means the holidays are near and the new year is approaching. Therefore, it is necessary to make the most of this period and use it effectively.

Here are some tips on how to make the most of the last quarter of the year:

1. Set Goals: Take some time to assess what you would like to accomplish before the end of the year and create a plan to reach these goals. Whether getting in better shape, losing weight, improving finances, or completing specific projects, having a goal in mind can help you stay focused and efficient throughout the quarter.

2. Reflect and Reevaluate: The last quarter of the year is a great time to reflect on the past and reevaluate your strategies and actions. Think about what worked well in the past year and what areas you could work on to make your life better in the upcoming year.

3. Enjoy the Moment: Don't get too overwhelmed by planning for the future. Enjoy the moment by doing things that bring you joy, keep things perspective, and create a more positive mindset.

4. Make Connections: Take advantage of your time to network and meet new people. Contact people in your field, attend industry events, and join clubs and organizations. Making connections can help you in both professional and personal life.

5. Do the Hard Stuff: Tackle the hard stuff first! This is the best approach to getting things done promptly. This applies to both work and personal life. Therefore, prioritize and start by tackling the more difficult tasks and projects before the end of the year.

Commit to your health and fitness.

The cooler weather in September makes it the best month to start a fitness program, compared to the hotter climate in summer or the colder weather in January. You can take advantage of the fresher produce in the fall season and the great deals on gym memberships to make healthy choices for your body and wallet.

It can make all the difference to start any new endeavor in September, as this provides several months to build strength and discipline while staying positive and motivated slowly. If you wait until January 1st, you may be rushing into your goal and need to remember one or two key elements that could be essential to your ultimate success.

Evidence suggests that people who start their fitness routine in September are more likely to stay committed to their goal than those who begin in other months. Starting your program early with set workout times can help to better mentally prepare you and improve your chance of staying committed to your goal.

Get Ahead of the Holidays

Creating a fitness plan and starting it in September is a great way to get ahead of the Holiday season and give yourself the best chance of meeting your goals. You'll have the time and opportunity to set yourself up for success in the following months.

This is the time of year to reflect on what has passed and reassess what you want to change for the upcoming year. If you approach it with the right mindset, the last quarter of the year can be rewarding and successful. So, go after your goals this month and in the coming months!
