With 2020 in the rearview mirror and a fresh start upon us, new fashion trends are surging globally. Increasingly, we are seeing men’s interest in fashion rise, a movement that is admittedly taking over the world. That’s why we at the Heart of Hollywood Magazine want to talk to you about what’s coming up for men in fashion for this hopeful, upcoming year.
1. High waisted pants
It’s very likely that this year high-waisted pants will become a staple in men’s fashion, a style that will probably be embraced mainly by the younger generations. This type of pants can make you look taller and leaner, resulting in a beautiful and classic silhouette perfect for the season.
2. Sweater vest
One past trend that is making a comeback is the Sweater Vest. However, they are not returning in the stuffy, old-school way that they used to; they are coming back in more vibrant shades and unexpected combinations. The perfect way to match this piece of clothing is to layer it up and opt for fun colors and patterns.
This year’s boho trend is also making a comeback in the form of patchwork fashion, especially in cardigans and sweaters. This trend began at the ending of 2020 and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down.
4. Oversized Jeans
According to Vogue Magazine, this year’s big craze is oversized coats accompanied by strong shoulders and dramatic sleeves. This coat will be your best ally for when you want fashion but also need protection from the cold. It can be used in various color combinations but Earthy and Dark tones are the most on-trend this year.
Cardigans are a retro piece of clothing that is all the rage in men's fashion at the moment. A functional and comfortable sweater that can be pulled off in different effortless styles. The different shapes and lively colors that go along with the design make it an assertive fashion choice.
6. Gender-neutral fashion
For years, women have been known for stealing men’s fashion style for their own use. In 2021, men will also have the opportunity to play with feminine pieces as the industry is taking big steps in implementing and normalizing the trend.
